About the collection

01 — The collection

A laptop, a desk, a room. Late.

Every piece is a still life. An open laptop, a desk, a room, and whatever light is left on at that hour. The rooms are places a laptop ends up when it has been somewhere it shouldn't: a repair shop after closing, a motel, an attic, the back of a mining rig.

The screen is where the story is. A terminal mid-session. A chart on its way up, or on its way down. A ransom note asking politely for the files back. A CCTV feed of an empty shop. Nobody is in the frame. Something has usually just happened.

The whole thing lives on Base. 3333 pieces, no more. The traits are listed below. The full set is revealed after the mint. Some of them are quite rare. None of them are yelling about it.

Nine categories. Some cells are blank on purpose.

Every piece is described by up to nine traits. A blank cell in the metadata means the trait is not present on that piece: no sticker, no visible damage, no clock. Those absences count as a variant of their own, so a laptop with nothing stuck to it is scored on how common that actually is. Percentages are out of 3333.
